Coming hot off the heels of our Blood Borg episode of WTQ, I wanted to put together the ultimate list of “Borg” games you can find and play in 2026. However, the internet, and reddit, have already compiled that list for you. I’ve read through these lists and would like to recommend the following “Borganizations” for you to learn more about. (Yeah, I said it.) I’m also going to pitch some scenarios for you that could be used for a lil campaign in those games. One last thing I want to call out, I believe there was a missed opportunity for Mork Borg’s 3rd party license to REQUIRE any spin off game to include “Borg” in the name. As crazy as it may sound, there are some MÖRK Borg spin offs or hacks that do not include “Borg” in the name at all.
The OG and The “Borg Father”, MÖRK BORG
Real quick, before we venture deep into the Borg lands, we must stop and pay respects to the almighty MÖRK BORG by Pelle Nilsson and Johan Nohr. It’s a dark and merciless apocalyptic fantasy game that is quick to learn and play. The rest of the games I’ll be pitching you today will be based on the ruleset from this game! From the outside looking in, you can immediately get what’s going on in MÖRK BORG, and you’re going to want to get in yourself. The official website is chock full of character sheets, A FREE BAREBONES EDITION OF THE GAME, a free dungeon generator and even a free monster generator too! This could be your game for years and you wouldn’t need to drop any money on it. Happy Borgin, big dog.
God Of Borg (Berserkr)
Remember how beautiful God Of War (2018) was? Remember canoeing around the Lake of Nine and taking in the sights of the mountains, towers, and the world serpent? I want to go back, but I want to do it with my friends and some dice. Berserkr is going to help transport us there and allow your party’s decisions to affect the impending events of Ragnarok.
What if instead of only Kratos and Atreus prodding around the world tree and interacting with the gods, it was a group of rebellious demigods tired of the higher pantheon’s decisions, or a group of normal humans chosen by a god in a desperate attempt to the change the course of fate? Maybe your group of warriors are trapped within Muspelheim, cursed to an eternity of battling hellfire skeletons, but suddenly they were able to escape and now they’re on the run from the pantheon’s gaze. The theming from the art gets the creative ideas flowing! You can get the PDF for $21 and be on the lookout for a physical release in the upcoming months.
This Borg Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us (Frontier Scum)
Chaos and cowboys kind of go hand in hand don’t they? Frontier Scum is an Acid Western TTRPG, that highlights the strangely nightmarishness of the western frontier. With an epically concise page count of only 64, Frontier Scum gets straight to the point on how you’re going to try and survive out here, cowpoke. Alfred Valley also has made a video to highlight the brilliant power of your cowboy hat. The video also allows the physical book to flex its oldschool newspaper catalog art style.
But what kind of adventures are we going to run out here in the west, Co-Quest Master Woody? I heard that Sheriff Skullface needs you and the rest of the gang to scout out the raging bull that’s destroying supply caravans on their way to town. Big Slim has hired your gang to pull off the trainheist of the week, and you’re too broke to turn him down. The townsfolk have been enraged that some capitalist schmuck is attempting to build a casino over the grazing fields of Old Lady Caprice’s demon cattle, you need to help squash this before it gets out of hand. I could give you more ideas, but I gotta see a man about a horse.
Borgice Space (Corp Borg)
Sometimes you want to come home from a hard day of work after being blasted by LED lights for 8 hours and play a game where the company is run by blood thirsty insatiable vampires. Yes, I know that might not feel different from the average corporate gig, but at least this game has dice! Your characters work for some of the worst corporations in the world and the deadline is looming. The vibes give me Severance meets Metalocalypse. As of today, there are THIRTY EIGHT supplements you can add on to your Corp Borg adventures and a handy dandy online character builder to create your new hire.
What are some scenarios you can enjoy in Corp Borg? Well, the boss needs a powerpoint presentation created from the results of the Skull Crusher 6000 test. You can go down to the experiment floor and see with your own eyes the great power of this machine. You and your co-workers have decided that the evil CEOs of Dungeon Co. need to be terminated, PERMANENTLY. Now you need to ascend each floor of the company dodging life force draining middle managers, mind numbing busy work, and find a way to miss all the meetings you agreed to for the day. Now go out there and try to survive climbing the spike coated corporate ladder!
Borg? You Want BORG?!
For those of you new to the “Borgsphere”, I cannot stress how popular this ruleset has become in such a short amount of time. The original MÖRK Borg was released in 2020 and as of today, on this google doc that someone painstakingly put together, there are 146 different shades of Borg for you to play. That’s enough variants to fill a lifetime of gaming if you had some weird rule that only allowed you to play Borg games. So hit up your game group tell them you want to try out this rules system that has made a place for itself in the world TTRPGs.
